  • What do I do when I arrive for my booking?

Arrive at the grill in plenty of time ahead of your booking. At the beginning of your booked slot, you will receive a notification on your phone, please click on it, you will then be redirected to a 15-min countdown page on the EverGrill App. Alternatively, you can open the App, go to menu\booking history and access the activation page by tapping the current booking.

You have 15 minutes from the start time of your reservation to activate the plate. Please note, you will not be able to activate the grill after the 15-minute countdown is over and your booking will be automatically cancelled.

To activate the plate, hit the “activate BBQ” button at the bottom of the 15-min countdown page and scan the QR code relative to the booked plate. You will hear a noise from the grill cabinet and the plate will start to heat up. While the plate heats up, the App will show a message to inform you of this process and the LED on the plate will be steady red. It could take up to 5 minutes to reach the cooking temperature. Once the final temperature is reached, the grill will make two beeps, the LED will be steady green, and the App will start the 30-minute cooking time countdown.

  • How do I know which grill plate I booked and how to activate it?

To see which grill plate you booked,  go to the EverGrill App, click 'Booking HIstory', open your booking, and it will say on the third line down which plate you booked.

To identify which is Plate 1 and Plate 2 at the grill: Plate 1 is on the left when you are facing the grill, with a "Plate 1" QR code; Plate 2 is on the righthand side with a "Plate 2" QR code.

  • What if the user before me left the grill plate in unusable conditions?

During the plate activation process you can report an issue by hitting the “report issue” button.

You can write a comment and take a picture of the issue.

You then decide to either continue with the grill plate activation or cancel the booking.

In case of the latter, please send us an email help@evergrill.co.uk with your name and the booking number and we will refund you for the booking.

  • How do I know if the grill plate has reached the cooking temperature?

The grill plate will beep twice and the LED in front of the plate will be steady green when it’s time to cook. Please DO NOT touch the plate to check the temperature.

  • What is the cooking temperature reached by the grill plate?

The grill plate reaches a temperature of 200 °C and that temperature is maintained on the plate from the moment the LED light becomes green until the end of the 30-minute countdown

  • How long should I cook my food for?

A detailed description of the grilling times for meat and vegetables can be found at this link. Please note that the grill plate cooking temperature is fixed and it is set to approximately 190c.

If you are not a confident and competent cooker, please do not use the grill.

Please also see our Food safety FAQ below, which has links to food safety advice,

  • How should I leave the grill plate at the end of my booking?

Please clean the plate before you leave. Be aware that if other customers report the grill as unclean after you have used it your account will be temporarily or permanently blocked, and you may be charged a £20 cleaning fee. See User Agreement

  • How do I clean the grill plate?

To clean the plate, use the long arm scourer provided (hanging by the side of the cabinet), with water to clean the plate. You can also use the paper towel and water if the scourer pad is missing. Remember that the plate may still be hot when it's cooling down, so avoid touching it with your hand.  Be aware that if the plate is left in unusable conditions, you may be charged with a cleaning fee of £20

  • What happens if my phone battery dies or I lose mobile phone signal/internet before or during my booking?

It is very important to ensure your phone is charged and has an internet connection at the grill's location, as you will not be able to activate the cooking plate. EverGrill does not guarantee refunds in these cases.

    Before the booking:

If either happens before your booking you will not be able to activate the plate, and will not be able to cook on the grill.

    During the booking:

If either occurs during the booking, i.e. after you have activated the plate, the grill will still cool down after 30mins for the next customer, and the EverGrill App will ask you for feedback when you next log in. However, if you have booked consecutive hours you will not be able to activate the plate for the following hours and will not be able to cook on the grill.

  • Do I need to sign-up on the EverGrill mobile App to book a grill?

Yes. To book and use one of the our grills you need to create an account using one of our mobile apps (downloaded from Apple App Store and Google Play). There are 3 ways to create an account: email address, Facebook or Goggle accounts.

  • Can I book a grill plate for multiple consecutive hours?

Yes. You can book a single grill plate for up to 4 consecutive hours. However, we recommend to limit the booking to a maximum of 2 hours so to allow other people in your community to enjoy it.

  • How do I start my consecutive booking?

If you booked for more than 1 hour, be advised that the activation of the plate is only possible at the beginning of every hour. For instance, if you booked from 1pm to 3pm, your 2 activation windows will start at 1pm and 2pm, and for every window you will have 15 minutes to activate the grill. Therefore for the above example your booking windows will be 1:00pm – 1:15pm and 2:00pm – 2:15pm.

  • Can I cancel my booking?

Cancellations are only possible up to 48 hours before the beginning of the booked slot. To cancel: open the EverGrill APP; go to menu\booking history; tap on the booking that you want to cancel, and then hit the “cancel” button. You can ask for a full refund (minus booking fees) by sending an email to help@evergrill.co.uk with the subject “cancellation refund” and with your name and booking number (which you can find in your booking history). Please note that the “cancel” button is deactivated when there is less then 48hrs before the commencement of the booking and no refund is given in this situation.

  • Is taking a picture of the grill plate mandatory when leaving the feedback?

Yes. When leaving feedback, it is mandatory to take a picture of the grill plate you have just used. The pictures will be used to allow us to evaluate possible equipment misuse if reported by the following customer.

Failing to take a picture of the grill plate at the end of the booking could result in your account been temporarily or permanently blocked, and you may be charged a cleaning fee.

  • How much does EverGrill cost?

Renting 1-hour of an EverGrill hotplate costs £10. This includes 30 minutes of cooking time. The rest of the time is used for the plate to warm up (it can take between 4 to 7 minutes) and for the checkout in the last 15 minutes of the booking, while the user must clean, take a picture of the clean plate, and leave he BBQ in good conditions for the next customer.

You can be at the grill for the full 1-hour slot (or to the end of your final consecutive booking), while of course you can stay close to the BBQ as long as you need to eat your food and enjoy your day, while allowing to the next people to use the BBQ (if someone else booked after you).
